       To reduce the chance of injury, work tasks should be designed to limit exposure to ergonomic risk factors. Where possible, engineering controls are the most desirable. In certain cases, if engineering controls cannot be implemented, or if different procedures are required after implementing new engineering controls, administrative or work practice controls may apply. Personal protective solutions are limited in effectiveness when dealing with ergonomic hazards.
